Everything you need to know
How's the World Feeling? is a free, real-time global emotion tracker. Users from around the world anonymously share how they're feeling, and the collective mood is displayed on an interactive 3D globe. You can see live statistics showing the dominant emotion, percentage breakdowns, and where emotions are being shared from.
Simply choose one of eight emotions — Happy, Love, Excited, Calm, Anxious, Sad, Angry, or Grateful — and submit it. Your emotion is instantly added to the global statistics and broadcast to all connected users in real time. The 3D globe changes color based on the dominant mood, and live cards show emotions being shared from cities around the world.
Yes, completely. We do not collect your name, email, IP address, or any personal information. Each submission only records the emotion you chose and optionally your city (only if you give location permission). A random anonymous identifier is stored in your browser solely for rate limiting. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
You can share an emotion once every 30 seconds, up to 10 times per hour. This rate limit encourages authentic, thoughtful emotion sharing rather than spamming.
Location sharing is completely optional. If you allow it, your city name appears on the live feed (e.g., "Someone in Tokyo feels happy"). This adds a human, global dimension to the experience. We only use city-level location, never your exact coordinates, and you can disable it at any time.
There are eight emotions available: Happy, Love, Excited, Calm, Anxious, Sad, Angry, and Grateful. These were chosen to represent a broad spectrum of human emotions while keeping the experience simple and intuitive.
Currently, the app shows a global aggregate of all emotions. When users share their location, you can see live cards showing individual emotions from specific cities around the world. Regional breakdowns may be added in future updates.
